The Office of the Vice President for Research (VPR) seeks a Grant Development Specialist to support evaluation, research strategic planning, and grant development for university research in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). This open position is being offered at the Research Manager and Associate Director levels. Please apply to the appropriate position, Research Manager or Associate Director, depending on experience and qualifications.

The individual in this position will play a pivotal role in nurturing alliances between and among faculty at the University of Utah (UU), funding agencies, and communities to enhance institutional research in EDI. A key function of this position is to work with stakeholders to identify funding opportunities, lead the development of research and institutional proposals, assist faculty with other EDI-related extramural proposals, and develop goals and implementation plans for the campus-wide EDI research portfolio for review by VPR leadership. The Grant Development Specialist will be expected to operate with supervisors' guidance during the initial learning period in the position. This individual will also contribute to emerging and ongoing VPR and One U initiatives and administrative responsibilities related to EDI. An Associate Director hire is expected to operate at a higher level of independence than the Research Manager to achieve program outcomes.
