Long Term Substitute Elementary Teacher of Gifted Learners
Qualifications & Requirements PA Instructional certificate in Elementary Education, required
· Master’s degree in education or gifted education, preferred
· Experience working with gifted and advanced students
· Knowledge of the characteristics of gifted learners
· Knowledge of Chapter16 regulations
· Knowledge of curriculum and instructional practices for gifted students
· Strong commitment to gifted education and meeting the needs of gifted students
· Ability to collaborate with teachers to create a challenging and exciting atmosphere in the regular classroom
· Ability to differentiate curriculum and instructional materials to meet the needs of gifted and advanced learners
· Ability to use technology for analyzing data, productivity, and communication
· Coursework and experience in gifted education preferred
· Experience with elementary Math curriculum, preferred
