30742 - Electronic Health Record Analyst / Medical Records Tech 2
This announcement will be used to fill two positions.
The Electronic Health Record Analyst is an important member of the Health Information Management Services team. In this role, the Electronic Health Record Analyst supports processes related to the expansion of Electronic Health Record systems currently being added to the existing Avatar records management system during the project phase. The Electronic Health Records Analyst is also responsible for administering the Master Patient Index (MPI) and managing the records correction process for the broader Electronic Health Record System on a continuing basis.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Coordinating, monitoring and maintaining the integrity of the Master Patient Index (MPI) within the Electronic Health Record
• Monitoring and coordinating the correction process for Electronic Health Record Corrections
• Analyzing and evaluating processes and projects related to Health Information Management Services including evaluating process related to information flow through the Electronic Health Record, troubleshooting problems with application implementation, developing Electronic Health Record policies and procedures and serving as a department resource
Qualifications & Requirements
Must meet one of the following qualifications listed below:
• Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
OR
• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA, formerly the American Medical Records Association)
